On Saturday July 30th 2011, The Skylar Neil Foundation Along With ROCKFORRECOVERY.COM presented the 10th Annual "CRUEFEST - HOLLYWOOD" at the World-Famous "Whisky -A-Go-Go"... I got a call from Darryl Boyd from "ROCK N' ROLL GANGSTAR" & he said "Dude, I need to know if you are down for the jam?! ....Adler's in , & I've been trying to get ahold of Chip".....I know it may seem clique, but I'll say it anyway...It's not always what'cha know...That's right - It's who you know ( or who'll still answer your calls : ) But just like so many other things in life, it takes a village...And this was no exception.
In the end, it's just plain fucking awesome to be invited to perform with my friends...That's what Rock N' Roll is all about...FUN and Just Doing it!! SHUT YOUR MOUTH, OPEN YOUR HEART, & in the words of Joe Perry/ Aerosmith, "LET THE MUSIC DO THE TALKING"! I performed "NIGHTRAIN" w/ Steven Adler (Guns n' Roses), Chip Z'Nuff (Enuff Z'Nuff), Dan Winton (Hollywood Roses), & Jess Sellane (Lukas Rossi) during the "All Star Jam" which closed out the night. The energy was electric! Leaving the audience with more than they bargained for - which is NEVER A BAD THING ; ) And trust me, the humidity in the dressing room/ backstage was about 3 degrees away from creating its own weather system comparable to nice n' steamy trip to Atlanta, GA. -----
Other "ALL STARS" included Chad Stewart (Faster Pussycat, Dopesnake, Motochrist), Jesse (Vains Of Jenna), Nadir D'Priest (London, D'Priest), Davie Vain (Vain, Roadcrew), Willie Base, Tommy Lee of Motley Crues sister Athena Lee (Kottak), Patrick Stone ( Adler's Appetite), Daisy DelaHoya (VH1 star -Daisy Of Love), Stacy Blades & Phil Lewis (L.A. Guns), Sharise Neil (Mother of the late Skylar Neil, and Ex-wife of Vice Neil, and Neil Wharton (Vince's Son), Stephen Pearcy (RATT), Lizzy Borden, Tamie Downe (Faster Pussycat), Riki Rachtman.... Check back soon for for pictures...It was a beautiful thing to experience all of the LOVE that was put into such an amazing and important cause...So from my heart ...Congratulations to "CRUEFEST - HOLLYWOOD" for 10yrs. !!! And to all the musicians, friends, and Fans (New & old), I want to express my love & appreciation to eveyone..."Stage" to "Street" - I LOVE YOU!!
